If your Epson printer color ink cartridges are empty, your printer may stop printing black and white prints. But you can force print in black and white by following these instructions. Firstly, open Run by pressing Windows key + R. To open the Control Panel, enter Control and tap OK. Then, tap on Hardware and Sound and right-click on your printer. Choose Printer Preferences and open the Color. Now, choose the Print in grayscale and select the High-quality setting under the Print in grayscale option. Once done, save the changes by clicking on Apply and OK. After this, close the Devices and Printers window and now try printing in black and white. If your Epson printer won't print black and white without color ink issue is not resolved, you can try running the printer troubleshooter. To do so, open the Settings and then go to Update and Security, followed by Troubleshoot tab, Then, tao on Printer and then click on the Run the troubleshooter button. Once done, follow the on-screen instructions and apply the recommended fix.
